Codex Seraphinianus

Codex Seraphinianus

In the late 70s italian architect, illustrator and industrial designer Luigi Serafini made a book, an illustrated encyclopedia of an unknown, parallel world. it is about 360-380 pages and written in an unknown language, using an unknown alphabet. Codex Seraphinianus is divided to 11 chapters and two parts – first one is about nature and the second one is about people. The book is often called “the strangest book on earth”, but most definately it is one you shouldn’t miss ‘reading’. a few sample pages below.
it has been compared to the Voynich manuscript an illustrated codex, hand-written in an unknown writing system, dated to the early 15th century.
